Wilmore, Ky. --- The Eagles took on Transylvania University this evening in their home opener for their 2022 season. The Transy Pioneers entered the match with a 1-0 record, and The Eagles entered the match with a 0-1-1 record. Both teams were eagerly searching for a win. The Eagles were able to put two away this match by Austin Dunlap and Micah Schneider. Transy kept up, scoring two goals, and tying the game at 2-2.
 
Through a scoreless 25 minutes, The Eagles put the first goal of the match away by Austin Dunlap assisted by Freshman, Luke Thomas. Asbury was able to hold this lead through the first half and entered the second half with a 1-0 lead.
 
In the 69^th minute, Transy retaliated by putting one away, making it a 1-1 game entering the 70^th minute. In the 76^th minute, Senior, Micah Schneider was quick to rebound, putting one in the back of the net, assisted by Nick Clark, bringing the Eagles to a 2-1 lead with 14 minutes left in the match. The Eagles and the Pioneers continued to fight for the rest of the match, but Transy was able to score in the 86^th minute, bringing the game to a 2-2 final score.
