Anderson, In. --- The Asbury Men's Soccer team hit the road again to take on Anderson University in Anderson, IN. Straight from kick-off at 5 PM, the battle began between the Eagles and the Ravens. Both teams went goal-for-goal all the way up until the 90th minute, resulting in a 4-4 draw for the Eagles, a first for their 2022 season.
Anderson took an early control of the game, scoring two goals in the first 29 minutes of the match. Nearing the end of the first half, the Eagles strongly rebounded scoring 2 goals in the last 7 minutes of the first half.
Austin Dunlap and
Micah Schneider tallied those two goals, bringing the Eagles to a 2-2 game at the end of the first half.
Anderson quickly took the lead in the second half, scoring 7 minutes in. The Eagles retaliated in the 68th minute with a goal by
Nick Eller, assisted by
Nick Clark and
Micah Schneider, bringing the score to 3-3. Through a tight 21 minutes, the Eagles were able to put one away in the 89th minute by
Sammy Abraham, assisted by
Micah Schneider. The Ravens quickly responded by scoring in that same minute, and ultimately tying the game at 4-4.
