WILMORE, Ky. -- This month's #TeamAU Alumni Feature, presented by KEMI (Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance), highlights a former Asbury student-athlete, Kellie (Payne) Moaga class of 2018.

What was your major and what sport did you play?
Major: Elementary Education    Sport: Lacrosse
 

How did God use Asbury to impact your life?
Asbury is an incredible community that helped shape who I am today. The community at Asbury is God serving and God loving which flowed through campus. I felt this from the students, professors, coaching staff and administrators. The influence this had on my college years directly translated to my approach to teaching and the environment I strive to create in the classroom. 
 

What is your favorite Bible verse?
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
 

 What is your current occupation?
I currently work as a fifth grade math and science teacher in Denver, Colorado. 


What is your favorite Asbury athletics memory?
I have so many Lacrosse memories that it is tough to pick a favorite. I loved getting to travel over spring break with my teammates and the fun memories that were made through those experiences. My senior year we traveled to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip and it was truly an incredible experience. If I had to pick, I would have to say my favorite athletics memory is playing Reinhardt University my freshman year. It was pouring rain and was one of the first home games I had the opportunity to play in as goalie. It was one of those games that will always stick with me.
