TeamAU Overall Spring Semester GPA Soars to 3.39
WILMORE, Ky.--- The Asbury Athletics student-athletes put together a strong 3.40 overall GPA for the 2022 spring semester.Â
All 16 of the Asbury sports teams produced a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Seven of the teams recorded above a 3.50 team GPA for the semester. These academic accomplishments are incredible feats for the Asbury University student-athletes.
Women's tennis posted the highest women's team GPA with an outstanding 3.75. Men's cross country barely edged women's tennis for the overall highest team GPA at 3.76.Â
These student-athletes are embodying the "Scholar" pillar in the six Pillars of Excellence that make up TeamAU. The "Scholar" pillar states clearly that a student-athlete's primary objective at AU is to earn a college degree. Asbury University is committed to providing a Christian liberal arts education that equips our students to enter the world as an articulate, thoughtful, and informed ambassador for Christ.
About Asbury Athletics:Â Asbury University competes as an NCAA Division III provisional member and a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Asbury sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports, as well as cheerleading, representing more than 350 student-athletes. A total of 200 student-athletes were named to the TeamAU Academic Honor Roll by earning a semester GPA of 3.25 or better in the 2021 fall semester.
Men's sports (7): baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming and tennis.
