DANVILLE, Ky. – Asbury's women's lacrosse team ended its season Wednesday with a 15-3 loss to Centre College.
Centre scored nine unanswered goals of the game in the first quarter and added four more in the second and two more in the third.
The Eagles finally got on the scoreboard after Grace Tatro found the back of the net at the end of quarter two. Going into the half, Centre was up 13-1.
Mary Teidi scored the Eagle's second goal in the third quarter, while Tatro got the last point in the fourth.
Asbury struggled with their clears in the loss, only being successfully in 9 out of 21, while also committing 18 turnovers.
Centre had possession of most of the match and controlled the draw control, having 13 compared to Asbury's eight.
Elsie Kopczynski logged 12 saves as a goalie.
Unfortunately, the Eagle's last home game on Saturday got canceled because Spalding had low numbers.
AU finished the season with a 1-12 overall record.
