Box Score OAKLAND CITY, Ind. --The Asbury women's basketball team snapped their ten-game winning streak with a 93-92 loss to Oakland City in the second round of the NCCAA Regional Tournament.
Asbury drops to 20-5 overall with the loss.
Top Performers:
* Autumn Herriford led Asbury with 26 points and nine assists. The senior also finished with four rebounds.
* Sarah Dennison tacked on a team-high nine rebounds down low and also added 12 points.
* Trinity Shearer finished in double figures scoring with 20 points, four steals, one block, six assists and three rebounds.
* Freshman Haleigh Releford collected a season high 20 points and five rebounds in the loss, while Emma Strunk also seven points.
Key Stats:
* The Eagles started slow offensively and fell behind 26-13 after the first quarter.
* The Eagles improved their shooting from the first quarter, only 22 percent to then 68 percent from the first quarter to the second to help close the gap.
*AU out-scored IU Southeast 35-31 in the second period and 31-17 in the fourth; however, it wasn't enough to win.
* The Eagles shot 42 percent from the field and scored 34 points in the paint. AU also produced 31 points off the bench and scored 26 points off turnovers.
