WILMORE, KY – The Asbury University women's lacrosse team fell to Transy with a 21-3 loss on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon.
Before the game, seniors Virginia Creech, Mia Doron, Carlee Logan, and Grace Tatro were recognized.
Senior Day started with Transylvania scoring four goals and Asbury responding with one goal. They continued building on the lead in the second quarter with six goals, while Asbury had a one-goal response. This led the game into half with a score of 10-2. The third quarter was even more intense, and the Eagles could not respond to the seven goals Transylvania scored. Transylvania was held to only four goals in the final quarter, and Asbury scored one more, ending the game with a 21-3.
Top Performers:
* Grace Tatro scored all three goals for the Eagles this game, again stepping up to the challenge presented. Tatro scored one in the first quarter, then again in the second, and the final goal for the Eagles in the fourth.
* Elsie Kopczynski picked up 17 saves this game, doing what she could to prolong the offensive intensity of their opposition.
