WILMORE, Ky. --- Today's gameday matchup previews are below:

Asbury vs. Alice Lloyd | 11/22/22 | 5:30 PM | Wilmore, Ky. | Women's Basketball

For the first time this season Asbury women's basketball will play in the Asbury Luce Center, matching up with in the home opener with Alice Lloyd College. These two teams met for Asbury's first game of the season two weeks ago on Alice Lloyd's home court that needed two overtimes for a result, ending with Alice Lloyd ahead 68-65.

AU has now won their last three games and have moved to 3-2 on the year. Last week Asbury won all three of their matchups and two games by two points each against Berry College and Centre College. The Eagle defense has been on full display causing chaos for their opponents who have turned the ball over 122 times in five games. 

Guard duo Haleigh Releford and Trinity Shearer have led the way in scoring with Releford averaging 13 and Shearer 12. Sophomore Haleigh Releford scored 21 points in Asbury's win over Centre Saturday afternoon to lead the comeback win.

Asbury at Simmons College of Kentucky | 11/22/22 | 7 PM | Louisville, Ky. | Men's Basketball

Asbury men's basketball took a one point victory last night over Midway to move to 6-0 for the first time in school history. The win was finished by a Nick Fort jump shot to give Asbury the lead with eleven seconds to go they did not let up. AU will now go on the road to Louisville, Ky., to match up with Simmons College of Kentucky for their first meeting since 2018. Asbury took the 2018 game at home with a 88-68 win.

Asbury's undefeated start has received contributions from many as they average 84.0 points per game compared to their defense allowing only 74.5 points per game. AU is shooting 47.6% from the field and 35.5% from behind the line to start the season with timely scoring and solid defense to back it up.

The Eagles will look to grab another win to head into Thanksgiving break unbeaten at 7-0.
