
CLEVELAND, Oh.--- On Friday the Eagles left Wilmore, Ky., to travel to Cleveland, Oh., and were outmatched by the Case Western Reserve Spartans, slipping 0-11 on DiSanto Field.
Friday's game also marked 'Senior Day' for the Spartans, who recognized the team's seven graduating players.
Just 8 minutes of play into the first half, the Spartans set the tone for the evening, scoring the first goal of the night.
With a scoreless first period for AU, the Spartans continued, resulting in a score of 0-8 at the half.
Asbury's defense adjusted and managed to slow down the Spartan's offense; holding Case Western Reserve to three goals in the second period.
The match ended 0-11, placing the Eagles' current record at 3-12-2 this season.
The Eagles are among 12 other teams who have yet to take victory over the Spartans this season.
Case Western Reserve is a well versed team, holding a current record of 13-0 on the 2022 season.
AU has only two games left in their 2022 campaign, and will be looking to end the season on a high note.
