WILMORE, Ky. — Asbury Men's Basketball returned to the Luce Center on Saturday afternoon to take on Berea College. Asbury came in with a much more complete roster than their previous game and was chomping at the bit to get back on the court. Berea would start off very strong making numerous contested shots, 10 minutes in they would lead 22-21. However, AU would soon kick into gear as that was the last lead Berea saw on the day.
It was 57-50 Asbury with 13 minutes to go in the 2nd half when AU would go on an incredible 23-3 run that they would not look back from. The run was powered by Eric Powell's four made three's that gave the Eagles a 80-53 lead over Berea with 8 minutes remaining. Asbury would continue to pour in the points and get stops on the defensive end as they would come up with the victory over Berea, 96-70.
A very strong showing by Asbury as their first appearance back with the full squad did not disappoint. AU continues to improve and looks to be clicking heading down the stretch.

Asbury will look to continue this momentum as they go on the road Wednesday, Jan. 15 to Campbellsville-Harrodsburg.
