Rio Grande, OH. - The Asbury University softball team split its River States Conference Friday doubleheader at Rio Grande University as the Eagles played their second straight doubleheader on the road.
The Eagles won 4-1 in game one and dropped game two in a tight contest, 2-1.
AU moves to 13-17 overall and is 5-3 in RSC play. AU will travel to Beckley, WV to play WVU Tech on Saturday.

*In the first inning AU had two runs from
Taylor Enlow and
Jenni Beasley, due to errors from Rio.
*For the second inning
Madison Moss hit a two run homerun to bring in
Harley Wagoner. Â

Allyson Moore pitched a complete game and only gave up three hits and one run.Â
*AU posted seven hits in total in the victory.

Madison Moss hit her third homerun of the season.

Harley Wagoner went two for two at the plate today, nothcing another multi-hit game.

Taylor Enlow, Abby Ponder, and Allyson Moore each saw action on the mound.Â
*AU only had four hits compared to Rio with eight.Â

Jenni Beasley went two for three at the plate and was the only run to score. Â

*At the top of the 6th inning
Jenni Beasley scores, off of
Olivia Judy's singled to the right to put the Eagles on the board.
*In the first inning Rio Grande scored one run but for 5 consecutive innings afterwards AU didn't allow another run.
*In the last inning AU came up short, throwing a wild throw allowing Rio to advance to third. Rio Grande then scored on a single to left to win he game.
