WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University baseball team improved to 10-2 on the year on Wednesday evening after defeating Alice Lloyd 11-10 at Cecil Zwefiel Field.
The Eagles have won three straight games and improve to 10-2 as they pick up their first home win of the 2021 season.
Asbury hit three home runs on the day and jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first two innings.
AU got on the board in the first inning when
Trevor Campbell singled to right field, scoring one run.
Walker Paris led the Eagles to victory by driving in five runs. Paris went 2-for-2 at the plate, driving in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the second.
Kaiden Zacharias also went yard in the first inning with a three-run homer.
Austin Jennings got the start on the pitcher's mound for the Eagles. Jennings went three innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out two.
In total, the Eagles scattered 14 hits in the game.
Parker Burge, Campbell, Paris, Zacharias, and
Kaden Dugle each had multiple hits for Eagles. Burge went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Asbury in hits.

Asbury will host Point Park this weekend for a three-game series to open up conference play beginning on Friday at 4 PM.
