WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University softball team swept Alice Lloyd at home on Tuesday evening at the Kirkland Complex in non-conference action.
The Eagles won game one 9-0 (F/5) and game two by a score of 8-5. With the two victories on the day, Asbury improves to 8-14 on the year.
Game one
*The Eagles' bats wasted little time in building an early lead as they scored five runs on six hits in the first.

Chandler Kelly's two-RBI double to right scored the first two runs, followed by an RBI single from
Abby Fletcher and a two-RBI double from
Olivia Judy.
*
Ally Moore pitched a complete game shutout in the circle and allowed only six hits in five innings of work and struck out three batters.
*AU added another run in the bottom of the third off an RBI single from
Olivia Judy to make it 6-0.
*The Eagles put the finishing touches on the game in the fourth with three runs on five hits.
Taylor Enlow's RBI double to left-center scored
Jenni Beasley and then
Bree Sanders connected on an RBI single to score Enlow.

Harley Wagoner's RBI double later in the inning brought home Sanders for the final run of the game.
*Judy led the Eagles with three RBI and
Abby Fletcher posted a 3-3 effort at the plate with two runs scored.

Game two
*Asbury scored three quick runs in the first inning to take a 3-0 advantage as they went for the doubleheader sweep.
*ALC would score four unanswered runs to take a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth.
*Asbury scored three runs on two outs in the inning to claim a 6-4 lead.
Madilyn Choate's two-RBI single gave the Eagles the lead back. Choate would cross the plate off a throwing error on the same play to make it 6-4 AU.

Ashleigh Bobo's pinch-hit RBI single gave the Eagles an extra run of insurance in the sixth leading 8-4.

Abby Ponder pitched a complete game and recorded the victory as she struck out four and surrendered six hits.
