WILMORE, KY – The Asbury University women's lacrosse team was victorious over Montreat College with an 11-16 win on Senior Day in the AAC play.

Abigail Peklo were recognized.
AU improves to 3-4 on the year with the victory and is now 2-2 in AAC play.
The Eagles had a slow start in the first half but led by 2 goals at the half with a 6-4 advantage. AU played much better in the second half, scoring 10 goals to increase their lead and take the win. 
Asbury will return to action on Wednesday at home at 4 PM to play against Marian University.

*Senior 
Aubrey Curell, had an impressive game leading the Eagles with a career-high 7 goals, 12 shots, 6 ground balls, 6 draw controls and four caused turnovers. Curell currently ranks 11th in the NAIA in goals scored this season.

Mia Doron also collected a stat for every column having two goals, five shots on goal, two ground balls, 9 draw controls, and a caused turnover.

Hannah Biegert and 
Abigail Peklo both tallied two goals a piece while 
Grace Tatro and 
Maddy Hoke nabbed one. 
*AU logged 19 draw controls and and 21 ground balls as a team.
*Asbury out shot Montreat 45-23 with 35 shots placed on goal.
