TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Asbury University softball team won its Monday afternoon doubleheader at Stillman in Tuscaloosa to snap a four-game losing skid.
The Eagles won game one 8-0 and rallied back to take game two 6-4. Asbury improves to 6-12 on the year with the victories.
AU will host Thomas More on Saturday in a doubleheader at 2 & 4 PM.
Game one
*Freshman
Taylor Enlow got the job done in the circle, pitching a complete game as she allowed only two hits throughout the game.
*The Eagles knocked in two runs in the top half of the first after singles from Enlow and
Abby Fletcher.
*Asbury would extend their lead out to 3-0 after scoring another run in the top of the third as Fletcher's RBI groundout scored
Brynna Reynolds.
*The Eagles would put the game away in the fourth with five runs on four hits.
Madison Moss' RBI single would bring home
Olivia Judy for the first run.
*The scoring continued with a two-RBI double from Enlow and two-RBI single from
Chandler Kelly.
*Asbury collected seven hits as a team in the win with Enlow leading the way with a 3-3 effort at the plate and a team-best three RBI.

Game two
*The Eagles got off to another great start with two runs in the first.
*Enlow posted her fourth hit and fourth RBI of the day as Reynolds would score the first run. Enlow would cross the plate moments later in the inning.
*With a 2-0 lead,
Abby Ponder got the start on the mound and lasted four innings. The freshman struck out three and allowed only three hits.
*Back-to-back doubles from
Chandler Kelly and
Abby Fletcher gave the Eagles a 3-0 edge in the fourth.
*Stillman scored their first runs of the day in the next half inning, scoring two runs on three hits.
*SC tied the game up in the bottom of the fifth after an RBI double, and then took the lead in the sixth at 4-3.
*AU rallied back in the seventh as Reynolds brought home Judy and Moss on a two-RBI double to center for a 5-4 lead. Reynolds would score an extra run of insurance to give the Eagles a two-run lead.

Ally Moore pitched the final three innings of the game and picked up the win.
