WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University softball team fell twice in a doubleheader on Friday at home against Huntington University in non-conference play.
The Eagles fall to 4-12 on the year and have dropped four games in a row.
Asbury will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. for a doubleheader on Monday against Stillman College.
Game one
*The Eagles got on the board in the first inning off an RBI from
Abby Fletcher, which scored
Madison Moss.
*However, it would be the only run of the game for Asbury, in a game where they totaled five hits as a team and left seven runners on base.

Taylor Enlow pitched a complete game in the circle, throwing five straight innings of shutout softball.
*Huntington would finally break through in the sixth inning with two runs scored on four hits in the inning.
*The Eagles had runners on the corners with two down in the seventh, but HU would win the game on a game-saving diving catch in right field for the final out.
*Enlow led the Eagles' bats with her second multi-hit game of the year.

Jenni Beasley, Moss, and
Madilyn Choate each recorded a hit apiece in the loss.
Game two
*The Foresters scored tow runs on three hits in the top of the first to take an early lead.
*The Eagles would reduce the deficit down to a run in the fourth after
Olivia Judy brought home
Jenni Beasley on a sacrifice fly.
*Huntington increased their lead out to 3-1 after scoring a run of insurance in the sixth and then would add two more runs to their lead in the seventh to take a 5-1 lead.

Taylor Enlow and
Jenni Beasley each finished with three hits apiece, but were the only Eagles to record a hit in the loss.
*Enlow posted her second straight mult-hit game and a season-high three hits, including a double and a team-best five hits on the day.

Abby Ponder started game two and pitched five innings, striking out two.

Ally Moore tossed the final two innings in relief, allowing two runs.
