COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Asbury University baseball remained perfect on the season at 4-0 after completing a comeback 13-5 victory at Lindsey Wilson in 10 innings on Tuesday evening in non-conference play.
AU trailed 5-3 heading into the top half of the ninth but would tie the game up after a two-run HR from
Walker Paris.
The Eagles would score 8 runs in the 10
th inning and would pull away comfortably.
Riley Baumbick put the Eagles ahead 6-5 after scoring off an error, followed by an RBI single from
Paul Haupt which scored
Garrett McIntire and gave the Eagles a 7-5 edge.
Paris delivered again with a two-RBI triple to put Asbury ahead 9-5.
Colton Back then smacked a double to deep left-center and the Eagles' lead jumped out to 10-5. The Eagles tacked on three more runs in the inning where they posted eight runs and five hits in total.

*Paris had another big day for the Eagles, finishing 3-5 at the plate with a double, a triple, and a homerun. Additionally, Paris totaled a team-high five RBI in the win and is currently fifth in the NAIA in RBI per game (3).
*Paris also got the start on the mound, pitching five innings and striking out two.
*Back finished with a season-high three hits on Tuesday and also drove in a run.
*Haupt and McIntire tacked on two hits each with three combined RBI.
*The Eagles' relief pitching allowed no earned runs as
Bryce Barber collected the win. Barber pitched the final 1.2 innings and struck out two.
