MIDWAY, Ky - On the road, the Asbury Eagles fell to Midway, losing 3-0. With the loss the Eagles drop to 5-15 on the season, while MU advances to 18-2.
In the first set, the Eagles won the first two points of the game. However, Midway fought back, and their momentum prevailed, even when Asbury called two timeouts. Midway ended up defeating the Eagles in the first set with a score of 25-11. At the beginning of the second set, Midway continued their momentum. However, the Eagles matched their momentum in the middle of the set, both teams going back and forth on who was taking control of the set. In the end, Midway defeated the Eagles 25-20 in a very close set. The third set saw a similarly tight set in the beginning. By the end, however, Midway was able to close out the game with a service ace.
