WILMORE, Ky - On Friday, October 29, the Asbury Eagles lost 3-0 to Oakland City at the Luce Center, causing the Eagles record to drop to 5-16.
The first set proved to be a slow start for the Asbury Eagles. However, by the middle of the set, the Eagles fought back and started to catch up to the Mighty Oaks. Both teams were playing neck and neck throughout. By the end of the set, both teams were standing at a 22-22 draw. However, the Eagles dropped the next three points and gave them to Oakland City, ending the set in a loss with a score of 25-22. By the second set, the Asbury Eagles started off strong and were in the lead. However, Oakland City fought back and did not allow the Eagles to score any more points with a 15-0 scoring run. The Eagles were unable to bounce back, and lost the second set with a score of 25-15. By the third set, Oakland City kept up the lead with the Eagles trailing behind. The game ended with the Mighty Oaks taking the third set with a score of 25-16.

Asbury recorded 5 blocks while Oakland had 2, with Emma Ingalls defending Eagles territory with 4 blocks. Bethany Fye led the team with 10 kills and 11 digs. Riley O'Day led the team with 14 assists.
