WILMORE, Ky. - The Asbury women's basketball team won big on Thursday evening at the Ray Shouse Memorial Game against UC-Clermont with a 103-64 victory at the Luce Center.
Asbury collects another win at home to improve their record to 10-4 on the year.
Additionally, this is the third time the Asbury women's basketball team has scored over 100 points.
Key Stats
*Kelsey Johnson led the Eagles in points with 22 and recorded four rebounds. The senior also gave out two assists for the night and was 50 percent from three-point range.
*Jaclynn Ruble recorded 19 points, two rebounds, and dished out three assists.
*Zaria Napier was perfect from three-point territory with four threes as she finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
*Spencer Harvey grabbed 14 points, making it a career-high scoring night on 4-6 shooting. Harvey was also 2-3 from the three-point line.
*Meagan Bellamy connected on three threes and finished with a season-high nine points.
*Sarah Dennison, Autumn Herriford, and Abby Harris each scored five points apiece.
*Asbury hit 19 threes on the night with five different Eagles hitting at least two threes in the win.
*AU shot 47 percent from the field, scored 24 points inside the paint, and was 75% from the free-throw line.
*UCC had ten turnovers but scored 36 points in the paint and was 18 percent from the three-point line.
Highlights
*The Eagles' offense came out strong, shooting 53 percent from the field. The Eagles knocked down four threes and were 100 percent from the free-throw line.
*UC-Clermont struggled in the second quarter, only shooting 25 percent from the field goal and 50 percent from the free point line. Asbury took the game over with a big period, outscoring UC Clermont 25-9.
* Asbury recorded 19 three's for the night and scored 22 points off of turnovers.
* Asbury continued to attack the boards throughout the second half, and their bench play and depth continue to remain a key concept to the teams overall success, as they scored 40 points off the bench.
