WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University volleyball team recorded its second victory of the 2020 season on Tuesday night, as the Eagles were victorious over Alice Lloyd in four sets.
The Eagles won the match (25-13, 24-26, 25-19, 25-16) to improve to 2-0 on the year. Last night's victory also marks the second time that AU has defeated ALC this season after winning at ALC last week in their season opener.
Highlights
- AU got off to a quick start in the first set after building a sizable lead at 17-10 before ending the set on a 8-3 run.
- Despite posting 14 kills in the second frame, the Eagles lost the second set to even things up at one set apiece. AU held a 23-20 edge, but were unable to finish off the set.
- The Eagles regrouped in the final two sets, tallying 24 kills as they never trailed to win the match.
