WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University baseball team won its third straight game on Friday afternoon with a series opening 14-0 win over Johnson University at Cecil Zweifel Field.
With the victory, the Eagles improve to 6-2 on the season.
Highlights
*The Eagles wasted little time in building a commanding lead, as
Walker Paris' three-RBI double to deep-right center pushed AU ahead 3-0 in the bottom of the first.
*An RBI from
CJ Compton extended the lead out to 4-0 to give AU a comfortable cushion through the first frame.
*AU added on two more runs with one scored in the second and fourth innings as they cruised to a 6-0 lead.

Will McDonald pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight Johnson batters on the day to record the win on the mound.
*In the fifth, Asbury continued to pour it on with back-to-back-to-back RBI singles from
Kaiden Zacharias,
Austin Dick, and
Riley Baumbick to make it 9-0.

Matthew Baker continued the hit parade with an RBI double off the left-center wall for a 10-0 advantage, while
Walker Paris posted his second double of the day scoring two more runs.
