WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University women's basketball team bounced back nicely at home on Tuesday with a dominating 74-52 victory over Midway at the Luce Center.
Asbury outscored MU in three of the four quarters and led by double digits for a majority of the game. Freshman Jaclyn Ruble led all scorers with 22 points in the victory.

Asbury gets a much-needed win and improves to 18-10 (6-8, RSC). Midway falls to 8-7 in league play.
Highlights
*The Eagles took an early 13-4 lead following back-to-back-to-triples and a fast break layup.
*Asbury shot 50 percent from the field in the first frame and led 19-8.
*AU started the second quarter off on a strong note with a quick 11-3 run to take a commanding lead at 30-10.
*The Eagles continued to dominate and pulled their lead out to 38-14 late in the quarter.

Kelsey Johnson each scored 12 points apiece in the first half and AU led 43-24 at the break.
*Both teams scored 17 points in the third, and Asbury maintained a 60-41 lead after three quarters.
*Midway began the fourth quarter on a 9-3 run and reduced the AU lead to just 13 at 63-50.
*A big three from Ruble moments later gave the momentum back to the Eagles as they extended the lead back out to 18 and put the game away for good.

*Ruble led all scorers with 22 points on 7-9 shooting. The freshman was 3-4 from three and also dished out four assists.

Autumn Herriford collected nine points and 10 rebounds, while
Kelsey Johnson recorded 13 points in the win.

Amie Conley finished with nine points, a team-high 11 rebounds and three blocks, and also had two steals.

Sarah King also scored in double figures with 11 points.
*AU finished an efficient 15-20 from the foul line and the Eagles scored 19 points off turnovers.
