GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Asbury University baseball team picked up a big 11-4 road win at (RV) Georgetown on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play.

With the victory, the Eagles improve to 3-1 on the year and (RV) Georgetown falls to 0-3.
The Eagles hadn't played a game since January 31 due to recent weather, but didn't skip a beat as they won their first game against the Tigers since 2008.
Additionally, Asbury's win on Tuesday marks the second win in program-history against GC in the past 17 matchups.
Key Stats

Trevor Campbell had a huge day at the plate finishing 4-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Two of Campbell's hits were a double and a triple.

Walker Paris and
Colton Back each posted two hits and two RBI. Back also crossed the plate twice on Tuesday.

CJ Compton tallied one hit and scored a team-high three runs, while
Josh Blancet scored two runs and also finished with a single.
*The defense and bullpen were in lockdown mode yet again, as
Jacob Cervantes,
Jackson Cole, and
Chase Thomas pitched eight innings of shutout baseball.
*Asbury stole five bases in the win and finished with 12 hits as a team.
*Georgetown was limited to only six hits and the Tigers also committed five errors.
Highlights
*After taking an early 1-0 advantage, Georgetown would score four runs in the bottom of the first to regain the lead.
*AU chipped away with a run in the top of the second, and then scored four runs on three hits in the top of the fourth. Campbell's two RBI double down the left field line scored Back and
Garrett McIntire to cap off the inning.
*The Eagles' bats weren't done yet and added another run in the fifth off an RBI single to left from Back.
*With AU leading 7-4, the Eagles put the game out of reach in the top of the eighth with four runs on three hits and three errors from the Tigers.
