WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University baseball team rallied from a 5-1 deficit on Friday evening, to defeat St. Francis 6-5 in the series finale at Cecil Zweifel Field.
Paul Haupt hit the game-winning RBI single to right field in the bottom of the ninth to win it for AU.

Highlights
*The Eagles got off to a slow start, as the Cougars pushed ahead 3-0 after two innings of play.
*USF led 4-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth before AU got on the board.

Walker Paris' RBI single scored
Austin Dick from third to cut the lead down to 4-1.
*Down 5-1, Asbury would never give up another run the rest of the way and scored at least one run in the final four innings of play.
*AU cut the deficit down to two as they added two more runs in the sixth inning off three hits.

th, a double from Haupt and an RBI single from
CJ Compton tied the game up at 5-5.
Key Stats
The Eagles' bullpen was stellar on Friday as
Chase Thomas and
Jackson Cole delivered seven innings of solid pitching.
Thomas threw four full innings, and Cole threw 3.1 innings of scoreless baseball to slow down the Cougars' offense.
Walker Paris collected a 2-5 effort at the plate with two RBI.

Nick Mackle scored the winning run off Haupt's RBI single.
