The members of the 2019-20 Asbury University Cheer squad were announced today by Head Coach Alyssa Bacon. The roster includes students from six different states, including 10 student-athletes returning from last year's squad, four freshmen and one transfer.
 
"We are very excited to begin our new season," said Coach Bacon, a 2015 AU graduate and former cheerleader. "Our squad has a strong blend of experience and key newcomers. The program continues to grow as does the excitement and student involvement at our home basketball games. We take great pride in representing TeamAU and helping create a great game-day atmosphere."
 
"I have really enjoyed serving as an AU Cheerleader," said Sydney May, a junior Biology major from Pikeville, Ky. "Our team is looking forward to another exciting year. The NCA Clinic was a great way to begin preparing for the upcoming season. We hope to pack the Luce Center with more great crowds to cheer on the Eagles."
