Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Asbury University men's soccer team saw their 2019 season come to a close on Saturday night in Owensboro as they fell 1-0 at Brescia in the River States Conference Championship Quarterfinals.
Brescia scored the only goal of the match in the 34
th minute and held on to their 1-0 lead to advance to the RSC Championship Semifinal round.
Asbury collected 10 shots throughout the match and had four shots land on-goal. Senior
Noah Welch's two shot attempts both landed on-goal in the loss.
Neil Lumm and
Sammy Abraham both tallied two shots apiece.
Brian Wood logged five saves as goalkeeper.
Brescia held the corner kick edge 8-2 and also finished with 12 shots.
AU closes the year at 6-13.
