WILMORE, Ky. -- The Asbury University men's soccer team celebrated a 1-0 shutout win on Senior Night over Ohio Christian on Wednesday.

Before the game, seniors Noah Welch, Owyn Howard, Neil Lumm, Andrew Nesselroade, Brian Wood, and Aron Gooswilligen were recognized.

With the win, the Eagles close the regular season 6-12, 3-6 RSC. AU will advance on the RSC Championship Tournament this Saturday.

Noah Welch scored the lone goal of the contest in the 2^nd minute of the match to preserve the victory for AU. Welch has recorded 10 goals on the season to lead the AU offense.

The Eagles played well for a majority of the night and had several opportunities to try and increase their lead.

Asbury out-shot Ohio Christian 20-6 throughout the match.

Asbury placed 13 shots on-goal and limited OCU to only six. AU also controlled the edge in corner kicks 11-2.

Goalkeeper Brian Wood notched four saves and earned the shutout, playing all 90 minutes.

The Eagles will play at Brescia on Saturday evening at 8 PM CT in Owensboro in the RSC Championship Quarterfinals.
