Women's Hoops Routs Union, 94-66

Asbury University got a resounding win over non-conference opponent Union College on Saturday afternoon at the Luce Center. The Eagles won by a score of 94-66 on their home court, improving their record to 7-1 on the season.
 
Asbury controlled the ball the whole game, taking 78 shots from the field, 39 three-point shots, 33 rebounds, and 11 steals, besting the Bulldogs in each of those categories. The Eagles also made 67.9 percent of their free throws.
 
Union kept it close in the first period, but Asbury managed to pull ahead towards the end to lead 24-17. The Eagles kept their momentum going with a 10-2 run the start the second, and kept shooting threes to take a resounding 49-32 lead at halftime.
 
From there, the Eagles completely dominated, outscoring the Bulldogs 23-12 in the final frame to seal the win.
 
Jaclynn Ruble was the Eagles' lead scorer with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists. Zaria Napier also scored double-digit points, totaling 19 and four rebounds before fouling out.
 
Kelsey Johnson joined the double-digit club in the fourth quarter with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists.
 
Autumn Herriford scored eight points and lead the team in rebounds with 12 and assists with five. Sarah King also had eight points, and added four rebounds and three assists before fouling out.
 
Amie Conley scored 11 points and got nine boards, while Sarah Dennison scoured four points and seven boards.
 
Faith Osborne scored five points, all coming in the fourth, with three rebounds. Cheyenne Fullowood also got her first points late in the game, with three points, one assist and one rebound.
 
The next game for the Eagles will be in Gallatin, Tennessee, where they take on Welch College. Tip off is on Tuesday, November 19th at 6 P.M.
