LEXINGTON, Ky. — Asbury men's tennis (9-5, 5-0 CCS) delivered a dominant 6-1 win, while the women's team (8-6, 5-1 CCS) battled down to the wire in a narrow 4-3 defeat against Piedmont on Saturday.

The Asbury men claimed a convincing 6-1 victory, using depth and strong singles play to pull away.
After securing the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 from the tandems of Andres Caceres & Ben Moore and Paolo Cargnelutti & Alejo Britos, the Eagles took control in singles action.
Ben Moore led the charge with a straight-set win at No. 1, while Ignacio Ardiles added a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3.
Franco Patino earned a gritty three-set win at No. 2, and both Alejo Britos and Andres Caceres outlasted their opponents in match tiebreakers at No. 4 and No. 5.

On the women's side, Asbury came up just short in a tightly contested 4-3 loss.
The Eagles picked up a key doubles win at No. 2 behind Malory Watkins and Ariadna Zegarra, but were unable to claim the doubles point.
In singles, Katherine Nova and Ariadna Zegarra earned commanding straight-set victories at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
Malory Watkins added a crucial three-set win at No. 4 to keep Asbury in contention. However, Piedmont managed to secure the remaining courts, narrowly edging the Eagles despite a hard-fought effort.
