DANVILLE, Ky. — Asbury men's tennis (2-4, 0-0 CCS) fell 5–2 to Centre College (3-3, 0-0 SAA) on Wednesday in non-conference action in Danville, Ky.
The Colonels claimed the doubles point with wins on all three courts. Ignacio Ardiles and Franco Patino were defeated 6–3 at No. 1, while Andres Caceres and Alejo Britos dropped a 6–2 decision in the No. 2 position. Ben Moore and Antonio Nunez fell 6–2 at No. 3 to close doubles play.
Asbury responded with two singles victories to account for its points on the afternoon.
At No. 4, Alejo Britos earned a straight-sets win, 6–4, 6–4. Andres Caceres also battled at No. 5, taking the opening set 6–4 before falling 6–2 in the second. Caceres forced a match tiebreak but was edged 10–7.
Ignacio Ardiles delivered the Eagles' second point in a tightly contested No. 3 match. After winning the first set 6–3, Ardiles dropped the second 6–4 before taking a 10–4 win in the deciding tiebreak.
Ben Moore was defeated 6–2, 6–3 at No. 1 singles, and Franco Patino dropped a 6–3, 6–3 decision in the No. 2 slot.

Asbury is in line to travel to Huntingdon, Ala. on Friday, March 6th at 10:30 AM EST, for their first CCS match of the season.
