Burke Named CCS Rookie of the Week
WILMORE, Ky. --- On Monday afternoon, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced its weekly awards, highlighting Asbury freshman sport management major Edison Burke as the CCS Rookie of the Week.
Burke, a Mead, Co., native, continued his strong start to the season, helping lead AU to a series victory over Covenant in the Eagles' opening CCS matchup. Batting leadoff, Burke went 5-for-12 (.416) during the weekend while posting a .533 on-base percentage.
Burke highlighted the series with a two-home run performance in game one and finished the weekend with five runs scored, two RBI, and four stolen bases.
