CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--- No. 1 seeded Asbury men's tennis (13-3, 6-0 CCS) secured a complete sweep of their first season in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) on Saturday afternoon in Chattanooga, Tenn., defeating No. 3 seed Piedmont University (13-2, 4-2 CCS), 4-2, to win the CCS Tournament Championship.

The Eagles went 6-0 in regular season play to secure the Regular Season Title, and then won both matches in the tournament. AU swept No. 4 Belhaven on Friday morning and then took the doubles point and three singles matches to secure their ticket to the NCAA National Tournament.
Asbury men's tennis makes history with the championship, as the first Asbury Athletics program to get to compete in a NCAA Division III Tournament. More information about the tournament will follow on asburyeagles.com.

AU sophomore doubles duo
Ben Moore and
Andres Caceres took another doubles win in the match, going 6-2 in the No. 2 match over Piedmont. After the Lions earned a 6-3 win in No. 3 doubles, it was juniors
Ignacio Ardiles and
Franco Patino taking a tie-break victory in the No. 1 spot to secure the elusive doubles point, 7-6.
Moore, Ardiles, and Caceres each took singles wins to get Asbury to four total points and the CCS Championship. Moore went 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, Ardiles 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4, and Caceres 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5.
