Asbury Concludes Season at Covenant; Nobles Reaches 10th Career Triple

STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.--- The Asbury baseball team (7-28, 1-17 CCS) concluded their 2025 season on Saturday in Lookout Mountain, Ga., falling in two games to the Covenant Scots (19-20, 5-13 CCS), 5-1 and 17-14.

Junior business administration major Quinn Nobles had three hits for AU, including his 10th career triple and fourth of the season to tie at second in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS). Nobles scored twice and drove two runs in during the day at the plate.

The Eagles had 18 hits on the day, but committed four errors defensively. Covenant had 24 hits and also committed four errors.

Game One | COVENANT 5, ASBURY 1
The Scots scored three runs in the first two innings of game one on the day, going ahead 3-0 early. Asbury was held off the board in the senior day doubleheader's opener until the ninth inning.

Covenant's B. Bollinger pitched a complete game with six hits, one run, and one strikeout. AU junior right-hander Cayden Devine went 5.1 innings with three earned and two strikeouts on seven hits.

Graduate student Kaden Dugle hit his 27th career home run in the ninth inning for the Eagles' only run of the game. Dugle extends the school-record with the blast, and reaches six during his final season.

Game Two | COVENANT 17, ASBURY 14
Junior Andrew Billington went 4-4 in game two with two walks for AU, being on base all six times he went to the plate.

The Eagles got behind 5-1 after a Covenant five-run third inning in their final game of the season for AU. Asbury responded with five runs of their own in the top of the fourth, all coming with two outs, 6-5.

AU went on to score eight more unanswered runs across the next two innings, giving them 13 runs in a row for a 14-5 lead, after trailing early. The run was powered by doubles from Nobles and Dugle, including one of three hits on the day from sophomore Titus Cummings

The Scots bounced back in the sixth with six hits to score eight runs, drawing within one run, 14-13. Covenant held AU scoreless for the final three innings and scored four in the eighth to take the 17-14 win.
