SEWANEE, Tenn.--- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Regular Season Champion Asbury men's tennis team (11-3, 6-0) slipped for only the third time this season on Saturday afternoon in Sewanee, Tenn., on the road against the NCAA DIII No. 10 ranked Sewanee Tigers, 6-1.
The Tigers took the doubles point over AU with three victories. AU accounting major
Ben Moore and business administration major
Andres Caceres battled in the No. 2 spot with Sewanee, but dropped their first doubles contest in weeks, 6-3.Â
AU junior business administration major
Alejo Britos took the lone Asbury win against the top-10 ranked Sewanee. Britos won in tie-break fashion, going 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 in the No. 6 singles match with the Tigers.Â

Ignacio Ardiles also took Sewanee to three sets in the No. 1 and No. 4 contests. Caceres and Ardiles both slipped in the tie-break set, 6-2 and 10-7.Â

Asbury will play in the CCS Tournament Semifinal Match on Friday at 10 am in Chattanooga, Tenn., against the winner of Belhaven and Maryville.Â
