DANVILLE, Ky.--- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) preseason ranked No. 2 Asbury men's tennis team (1-1) opened their spring season dropping a battle on the road in Danville, Ky., on Saturday afternoon at Centre College, 4-3.
Asbury took a key doubles point to start the non-conference Division III matchup in Danville, powered by a 7-5 win from business administration major
Andres Caceres and accounting major
Ben Moore, and also a 6-3 victory from business administration majors
Alejandro Caceres and
Gregorio Bustingorri.
The Eagles lost two tight three-set matches in individuals to the Colonels, needing one of those two to take the match.
Moore (No. 3) and business administration major
Ignacio Ardiles (No. 4) each took wins in their individual matches. Moore responded after losing his first set 6-3 to win the next two sets 7-5 and 6-2.

The Eagles will play their first ever Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) match for their next competition in Jackson, Miss., against Belhaven University on March 7th.
