STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
WILMORE, Ky.--- The Asbury men's and women's swimming teams combined for an overall team win on Saturday afternoon in Wilmore, Ky., over Transylvania University, to open their 2025-26 seasons.

The AU women's team took a decisive 143-57 win over Transy, while the AU men's team battled from behind but slipped to the Pioneers, 99-89. Asbury took the overall matchup 232-156 against their NCAA Division III cross-town opponent, Transylvania.

STORY - QUOTE
"It's been a long season of training to get to this point, but it's so great to finally start to see some of the work we've been doing pay off. We had some great performances today, and I was genuinely surprised by how well we competed after the first six weeks of tough training. It's always great to welcome teams to the Luce Center, and it's even better when we can compete well and give all we have each and every event. I loved watching our team swim today, and I'm really heartened as we enter the next stretch of our season. We're back in action at the Luce Center next Friday at 5 PM against Campbellsville."
Graham Duncan | Asbury Swimming Head Coach

"I had so much fun! Everyone on the team is so encouraging and it was so much fun to go out and compete surrounded by so much joy."
Mallory Taylor | Freshman | Elementary Education and Youth Ministry | Lake Forest, Ca.
