WILMORE, Ky.--- The Asbury Eagles women's soccer team (1-0-0), started their regular season with an impressive 2-0 victory against the Berea College Mountaineers (0-2-0) on September 2, 2024. This home victory saw goals by Maggie Perry and Peighton Sowder, leading the Eagles to a promising start in their campaign. 

In the first half, the Eagles took the lead, holding a 1-0 advantage at halftime. Maintaining their lead throughout, they doubled their score by the final whistle, marking a opening night win to begin the season. Maggie Perry and Peighton Sowder were key players, each finding the back of the net, with Madie Boehnlein providing a crucial assistn off a corner kick, that facilitated the team's success. 

Goalkeeper Maliya Crump delivered an exceptional performance by keeping a clean sheet.
