Eagles Rally to Take Series Win in 12 Innings at Wabash; Nobles and Johnson Combine for Eight Hits

STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
CRAWFORDSVILLE, In..--- Freshman biochemistry major Adam Thompson went 4.2 innings out of the bullpen for his first career win as MBA student Matthew Johnson and junior business admin. major Quinn Nobles combined for eight hits to lead Asbury baseball (13-12) back from behind 5-1 to take an 11-6 win in 12 winnings over Wabash College (10-11) in Crawfordsville, In., to win the series. 

Asbury had 17 hits (tied for a season-high), and scored six runs in the top of the 12th after scoring two in the eighth and two in the ninth to force extra innings. Wabash had 11 hits, but scored only run run after the sixth.

STORY - TOP PERFORMERS
Quinn Nobles had four hits with a triple, double, RBI, and two runs scored (eight hits in the series)
* Matthew Johnson went 4-6 with two runs scored 
* Freshman Adam Thompson went 4.2 innings out of the pen with only one earned run for his first career win
* Colton Perkins had two hits and a game-high four RBIs, including a double in the 12th to start the rally and a run scored
* Jacob Parker went two innings out of the bullpen for AU with no earned runs, two strikeouts, and one hit in mid-inning work
* Kaden Dugle had two hits with two RBIs and two runs scored
* Brody Bearden got the start for AU with 5.1 innings, four earned runs and a strikeout
