Quinn Nobles led Asbury baseball (13-13) with a three-hit game each on Saturday afternoon in Wabash, In., as the Eagles dropped game one (4-6) and took game two (5-4) against Wabash College in the first two games of a three-game series.
The Eagles' offense continued to excel with 21 hits on the day, 11 in game one and 10 in game two, taking their streak to seven games with double-digit hits. AU had four errors in game one and none in game two, as Wabash had 21 hits on the day as well.
"Jackson Cole came out strong and gave us a good chance in the first game, but we could not get it done. We didn't let up and Ryan Yates gave us another good start for game two. Robeson closed it out for us with his third save of the season and we took one, looking for game three tomorrow."
