Matthew Johnson had his fifth straight game with three-plus hits, as Asbury baseball (12-11) scored five of the final six runs to take a 9-8 win over Wright Stake Lake Campus on Saturday afternoon in Wilmore, Ky.
It was a great weekend for the guys! Seeing those one-run losses in Memphis start to turn into wins shows we are getting better as a team. Super proud of our guys and look to keep it going on the road next week!

* Matthew Johnson had four hits for his fifth straight game with at least three knocks, driving in three runs and scoring twice
* Ethan Cartwright had a pinch-hit three-run blast in the seventh inning to give AU the lead
* Freshman Brady Robeson came on in the ninth inning for the second straight day and got another save, ending the game without a strikeout while runners were in scoring position in a one-run game
* Kaden Dugle had two hits with an RBI
* Quinn Nobles had two hits with two runs scored and an RBI
* Noah Comstock went 2-4 with a double and an RBI
* WSLC led 7-4 in the seventh inning before AU scored four runs to take the lead, led by an Ethan Cartwirght three-run blast over the left-field wall
* AU had 13 hits and only two errors
* WSLC had 12 hits with three errors
* Asbury scored five of the final six runs
* The Eagles have won four straight games and are above .500

* AU had 13 hits while WSLC had 12
* Asbury worked seven walks and scored nine runs

AU will travel to Maryville, Tn., on Tuesday to meet future Collegiate Conference of the South opponent Maryville College at 4 pm
