MEMPHIS, Tn..--- Moving to three home runs in the last two games, senior
Kaden Dugle homered twice on Thursday afternoon despite Asbury baseball (7-6) coming up just short to Rhodes College (10-8) in their first game of three in Memphis, Tn., on spring break week, 5-6.
AU led 4-0 until Rhodes put up four in the fourth to tie the game. Dugle's second home run gave the Eagles a 5-4 lead in the ninth, before Rhodes scored two in the ninth to walk-off the game.

Ryan Yates came out of the bullpen in the third to give 4.1 innings of scoreless work.
Good overall game, Devin and Ryan did their job for us on the mound. We are slowly starting to see our offense come together and our defense was solid. It was a tough loss, but we are looking forward to bouncing back.

* Kaden Dugle homered in the third and ninth innings (both solo shots), going 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored
* Ryan Yates went 4.1 innings out of the bullpen with no runs allowed
* Matthew Johnson and Noah Brown each had two hits and each scored a run
* Cam Weaver had a hit with two RBIs
* Andrew Billington had a double
* Quinn Nobles had an RBI and a hit
* Freshman finance major Devin Walker got the start for AU and went 3.2 innings with four earned and four strikeouts, all four runs in the third inning
* A. Carron went 2.1 innings for Rhodes out of the bullpen with no runs and three strikeouts
* M. Kruger went 4-4 for Rhodes with a run scored
* Asbury had a 4-0 lead until the bottom of the fourth when Rhodes scored four on four hits and no errors
* Both teams combined for 25 hits and only three errors (Asbury 12 hits and two errors)
* Kaden Dugle homered in the ninth to put AU ahead 5-4, but Rhodes scored two in the bottom to win 6-5.
* Both teams had double-digit hits
* Rhodes finished the game on a 6-1 run
* Both teams gave up three walks and one hit by pitch
AU will play Maryville College on Friday at 11 AM (CST) at the same field in Memphis for game two of their three games.
