Walden's 28 and Winter's Double-Double Leads AU Past Warren Wilson; Eagles Move to Five Straight


STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
SWANANNOA, NC.--- Senior business administration major Dakota Walden helped pull AU past Warren Wilson on Saturday afternoon, 86-69. Walden led AU with 27 points and grabbed seven boards. Clayton Winter recorded his 10th double-double of the season, with 11 points and 17 boards of his own, aiding in the Eagle's efforts against the Owls. 

Saturday's win extends AU's winning streak to five in a row, averaging 83.2 points in their last five contests. Aden Slone recorded his sixth game of double-digit scoring, grabbing 14 points and two steals.

STORY - TOP PERFORMERS
* Dakota Walden led all scorers with 28 points (10-18 FG) and recorded seven rebounds and one assist
* Clayton Winter added 11 points (6-10 FG) and 17 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the year
* Aden Slone recorded 14 points (5-7 FG) and added two steals
* Kirk Lemons added eight points, grabbing two three's in just 10 minutes of play
* Warren Wilson was led by Antonio Banuelos with 23 points and eight rebounds
