Chick-Fil-A Featured Athletes | Peter Hoeppner and Ava Miller
WILMORE, Ky.--- This week our featured Chick-Fil-A athletes are
Peter Hoeppner and
Ava Miller. These two athletes highlight the six pillars of excellence that Asbury Athletics is about, and are standouts not only in their respective sports, but in the Asbury community as well.
Peter Hoeppner - Men's Golf | Fr. | Waukesha, WI
What is your major?
I am a Business Administration major.
Why did you choose Asbury?
I chose Asbury for a variety of reasons. I knew by coming here, I would grow closer in my relationship with Christ and have a community around me that would support me. I was also given the opportunity to play golf here, as well as attend a great business school that could further my academic journey.
Career Aspirations:
I'm not sure at this point, but I'm all over the board as I would consider working for anything, such as a large sports organization or entering the real estate market. I also hope to at some point, provide support to countries that are underdeveloped and in need of international relief.
What Do You Enjoy?:
I enjoy working out, hanging with friends, playing guitar, and doing anything related to the outdoors.
Favorite Bible Verse:
My favorite bible verse is Isaiah 40:30-31 - "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Ava Miller - Women's Track & Field I So. I Wilmore, Ky.
What is your major?
My major is elementary education with a minor in intercultural studies
Why did you choose Asbury?
I choose Asbury because because Jesus just really clearly opened the door to come and be apart of all the things that he had laid on my heart during my college years.
What Do You Enjoy?:
I love being outside, a delicious coffee, and spontaneous adventures with friends!
Favorite Bible Verse:
One of my favorite verses is Psalms 31:5 " Into your hand I entrust my spirit; you have redeemed me, Lord, God of truth."
