Chick-Fil-A Featured Athletes | Tyler Hall and Morgan Flanagan
WILMORE, Ky.--- This week our featured Chick-Fil-A athletes are
Tyler Hall and
Morgan Flanagan. These two athletes highlight the six pillars of excellence that Asbury Athletics is about, and are standouts not only in their respective sports, but in the Asbury community as well.
Tyler Hall - Men's Basketball | So. | Lexington, KY
What is your major?
Major: Communications with a Public relations emphasis and minor in Marketing.
Why did you choose Asbury?
I chose Asbury because I wanted to be at a University where Christ is the foundation of all things, from academics to athletics.
Career Aspirations:
I am leaning towards the marketing field but most of all I want to be in a profession where I can use the gifts God has given me to glorify him.
What Do You Enjoy?:
I enjoy being active, whether that is playing basketball or any other physical activity I can do with friends and family.
Favorite Bible Verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3: 5-6
What Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach Russ Abner has to say about Tyler:
"Tyler is a coaches dream. That probably comes from being the son of a coach, but he is the consummate learner, he listens better than almost any player we've ever had and has made huge leaps from freshman year to this preseason. We're super excited about what he brings to the table this year for our team!" 
Morgan Flanagan - Women's Basketball I Sr. I Union, KY
What is your major?
My majors are Business Administration and Spanish.
Why did you choose Asbury?
I chose Asbury because I wanted to attend a Christian school that also gave me the opportunity to play basketball and pursue where God was calling me in regard to my career.
Career Aspirations:
I want to help low-income families and especially children to find secure, strong, homes to live in that give the whole family units the opportunity to succeed and thrive. I want to use homes here on Earth to give families in need the slightest glimpse of the eternal home that the Lord has for us in heaven.
What Do You Enjoy?:
I have a passion for service and serving others, but in general, I love spending time with my family and friends, working out, and playing basketball.
Favorite Bible Verse:
My favorite Bible verse is John 15:4 that says, "Abide in me, and I in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me."
What Head Women's Basketball Coach Chad Mayes has to say about Morgan:
"Morgan has been a vital part of this program for the last four years and I have nothing but great things to say about her. Her hard work and dedication to this program have been unbelievable and we expect big things from her this season!"
