Eagles Second Half Defense Stifles Kuyper; Move to 6-0 in the Luce


STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
WILMORE, Ky.--- Asbury MBA student Dakota Walden and sport management student Ben McNew combine for 40 points to power Asbury men's basketball (12-8) over Kuyper College (15-5) on Friday night's sponsored The Kessinger Lee Group Night, 92-77.

Asbury's second half defense held Kuyper to only 31 points after giving up 46 in the first, moving AU to 6-0 at home in the Luce Center on the year.

* Dakota Walden went 6-13 from the field for 22 points with four rebounds, an assist, and a steal
* Ben McNew went 7-12 from the field with three three-pointers for 18 points, grabbing three boards, two steals, and an assist
* Clayton Winter went a perfect 6-6 from the field for 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, for his seventh double-double of the season
* Caleb Wallis had nine points with four rebounds and three assists
