Chick-Fil-A Featured Athletes | Gavin Howard and Riley McChord
WILMORE, Ky.--- This week our featured Chick-Fil-A athletes are
Gavin Howard and
Riley McChord. These two athletes highlight the six pillars of excellence that Asbury Athletics is about, and are standouts not only in their respective sports, but in the Asbury community as well.
Gavin Howard - Men's Soccer | Jr. | Lexington, Ky.
What is your major?
My major is Exercise Science.
Why did you choose Asbury?
I grew up around Wilmore and grew up watching the Men's Soccer Team play and always dreamed of playing on the team! When I realized I wanted to continue my soccer career, Asbury was my first choice! I also love that it is a Faith-based education as my faith is very important to me!
Career Aspirations:
I want to be a physical therapist!
What Do You Enjoy?:
I enjoy pretty much any sport (specifically soccer) and anything that can get me outside and being active! I enjoy hanging out with family and friends as well!

What is your major?
I am a Communications with a Leadership Emphasis Major and Business Minor.
Why did you choose Asbury?
I chose Asbury because the Lord, in the sweetest and most loving way possible, put me in a headlock. Asbury was and is my Ephesians 3:20, exceedingly and abundantly more than I ever could have imagined. From the richness of relationships to the true spiritual vitality, and everything in between... this is the place I belong.
Career Aspirations:
I hope to pursue athletics and missions; cultivating ways and spaces in which people can encounter Jesus.
What Do You Enjoy?:
I love Jesus and spending time with people!
