NCCAA Mideast Regional Tournament | Game Two | Hosted by Asbury University | Double-Elimination

No. 2 Asbury baseball (22-13-1) takes game two of the NCCAA Mideast Regional Tournament on Tuesday afternoon against No. 3 Kentucky Christian (20-30).
Last season, the teams met in the Eagles' first game in the tournament, in which AU trailed throughout most of the game until a three-run 8th inning that lifted AU over KCU for the victory, 7-5. 

The Eagles look to defend their title as NCCAA Mideast Champions after winning the 2022 championship game with a comeback against Oakland City, 11-10.

Asbury enters the tournament after an impressive regular season, winning 22 games and going 16-3-1 in their final 19 games. AU has five hitters hitting over .360 including Ethan Cartwright, Andrew Billington, Matthew Johnson, Quinn Nobles, and Noah Brown.

Ethan Cartwright leads the way offensively for AU with a .405 average and a team-high 51 hits. Noah Brown leads the team in OBP % at .596 and leads the entire NCCAA in hit by pitch being hit 24 times this season. 

Right-handers Brody Bearden and Eli Wilder are tied for a team-high in wins on the mound for Asbury with five apiece. Bearden boasts a team-best ERA of 3.21. AU has not played any of the three regional teams yet this season.
