Senior Day | Softball

Asbury softball (7-21) hosts NAIA opponent, the Shawnee State Bears (14-15) on Tuesday afternoon to compete in a doubleheader beginning at 2pm.
The Eagles will celebrate their senior day as they honor their three seniors; Olivia Judy (Captain), Olivia Palasek (Captain), and Abigail Fletcher (Captain).

The Eagles and Bears have competed in eight matchups since 2014, with AU going 3-5 against SSU.
The teams' most recent matchup in 2022 was a tough one for the Eagles, playing on the Bears' home field and dropping the doubleheader.
However, early on in the 2022 season AU played SSU at home in Wilmore, Ky., and split the doubleheader.

The Eagles will be eager to earn a win for their seniors and increase their winning record on their 2023 campaign.

Junior Taylor Enlow currently sits at first in the entire NCCAA for doubles with 15 on the season, and eighth in the NCCAA with a slugging percentage of .728 and a .414 average. Senior Olivia Judy sits tied for the number three spot in the NCCAA for fielding double plays, capturing six so far this season, and holding a .979 fielding percentage.

Asbury vs Berea College | 4/11/23 | 6PM | Wilmore, Ky. | Baseball

For the second time this season Asbury baseball (17-10) and Berea College (8-23) will meet on the diamond, this time in Wilmore, Ky., with a 6 pm first pitch on Cecil Zweifel Field. Asbury took game one on March 28, but Berea is coming in off an impressive conference series win over Maryville.  

Asbury sits in the middle of an 11-game winning streak after taking two more wins on Saturday, finishing the day with a two-RBI walk-off double to move to 17-10. In all 11 of the wins AU's offense has produced double-digit hits, using 22 total on Saturday. 

Freshman Andrew Billington leads the Eagles offensively with a .400 average, 1.074 OPS, 28 hits, and 19 RBIs. Billington came through with the walk-off double for AU against UC-Clermont.

Asbury vs Cedarville University | 4/11/23 | 2 PM | Cedarville, Oh. | Men's and Women's Tennis

Men's Tennis will travel to face off against NCCAA opponent, Cedarville University. Asbury men's tennis is coming off of a tight battle against Centre College, where they fell 4-5. Women's tennis fell 1-8. This will be AU's first time competing with the Yellow Jackets, and are looking to come back and grab a victory.

The Eagles will look to players like Joseph Lewis (NCCAA Player of the Week) and Gregorio Ingles to help lead them to a victory over CU. Ingles sits at the #1 spot for doubles and singles and recently won both of his matches against Centre (6-2, 6-2). Lewis competed in the #2 spot for singles and also won his set against Centre (6-3, 6-2)

Fernanda Heredia was the lone Eagle to grab a win over Centre, competing in the #5 singles spot, winning her matches (6-3, 6-0). NCCAA Player of the Week Ariadna Zegarra will be another key component for AU. Zegarra normally sits in the top three spots for both singles and doubles for AU.
