Asbury baseball (4-4) is set for game one on Monday night of a three-game series with Concordia - Ann Arbor (8-1) in Wilmore, Ky. First pitch will be at 6 pm as the weekend series was pushed to Monday-Tuesday contests due to inclement weather.
The two teams have met once before, last season in round two of the NCCAA World Series in Kansas City, Mo. Asbury led 6-5 in the eighth inning of the contests before Concordia put up three late runs to take the game 8-6. Concordia went on to win the 2022 NCCAA World Series and are currently ranked No. 3 in the NCCAA.
AU is coming off a solid mid-week win over Divison II opponent Kentucky State where Eli Wilder received his first career win and Colton Perkins led offensively with his third home run of the early season and four RBIs on the night.
The Cardinals from Concordia won their first eight games to start the season and just fell to Marian for their first loss of the season two Sundays ago. The Cardinals sit at 8-1 without playing a game in over a week.
